Also called TCRBV23S1

V β 23 is a family with a single member (IGRb04 sequence). V β 23 is expressed on the HUT78 and H9 cell lines, which is frequently used to grow HIV. It is expressed by 0.4% to 5% of peripheral CD3+ cells in normal blood. This sequence is also referred to as TRBV13 (based on the IMGT gene nomenclature).

V δ 1 is a variable segment of the γδ T cell receptor. V δ 1 is rearranged on both C α and C δ and is expressed in these two cell types. V δ 1+ γδ + cells are the major T cell population at birth and are over expressed in intestinal intraepithelial lymphocytes.
